A former evangelical pastor and now the co-president of the Freedom From Religion Foundation, Dan Barker is an atheist and advocate of freethought and will be talking about the separation of church and state on April 20 at CSU Sacramento.

Welcoming a New Chapter of the FFRF

This event marks the inauguration of The Greater Sacramento Chapter of the Freedom from Religion Foundation, a new addition to an organization that works as an umbrella for those who are free from religion and are committed to the cherished principle of separation of state and church.

Event Hosts

The Secular Student Alliance at Sac State (that’s us!) is hosting this event. We are an affiliate of the national Secular Student Alliance, an organization that aids high school and college student groups in the atheist, agnostic, humanist, skeptic, and freethought movement.

Daily parking passes are available in lots adjacent to Mendocino Hall.

This event is a fundraiser for the SSA at Sac State, to enable us to attend the national SSA conference in June. Your donations are welcome, and will help advance the group as we learn about leadership, marketing, community outreach, and more.

Tickets are $12 online, and FREE with current student ID (At the door only.  Subject to availability).
